First Baptist Church of Lenoir is a family of disciples who seek to follow Jesus Christ and live according to our mission.

We represent different ages, professions, ethnicities, educational backgrounds, and interests; however, we have a common belief in Jesus Christ and a commitment to walk together with Him.

We are a church dedicated to

• A devout and informed proclamation of Scripture;

• The priesthood of the individual believer;

• The autonomy of the local church;

• Cooperation with other churches for missions and ministry;

• A free conscience, in a free church, in a free state.

In these practices we adhere to the historic principles of the Christian faith as practiced by Baptists.

At First Baptist, we diligently seek to maintain a tradition that differences of opinion will not separate us in Christian witness, service, and fellowship.

Our congregation’s giving supports the missionary, benevolent, and educational programs of the North Carolina Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.

• Being an equipping fellowship providing an atmosphere which will encourage daily living according to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

• Being a caring community, prompted by the call of God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, responding to the joys, hurts, and needs of people within and beyond our church membership.
